This home has personality! It is very unique, charming and private. This fun mountain home on the golf course in spectacular Buena Vista is completely yours - no one else lives on the property and there are no close neighbors. It's comfortable and sunny, clean and nicely furnished. There are plenty of places for people to spread out or come together.
"Buena Vista Home" has all the amenities for a relaxing and fun vacation. There are gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and golf course, 3 large and private decks for lounging, barbecuing or star-gazing. 55" TV and Free WIFI. Down comforters are on all beds in the winter and festive quilts for the summer. We provide many essentials that other vacation properties don't, such as coffee and tea, spices, foil, plastic wrap, garbage bags, dish and laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner, paper towels, napkins and toilet paper, and propane for the grill. You're on vacation, you shouldn't have to shop so much!
The Living and Dining areas are under a Vaulted Ceiling separated from the well-equipped kitchen by a 4 seat bar. Gas range and ice maker. The dining table seats 6; sofa and chairs by the gas fireplace.
The main floor Master Bedroom has a king-size bed, its own full bath, TV/DVD and 3 sets of sliding glass doors to the West Deck.
The family room is a big, passive solar area with sofa sleeper, big comfy chairs, 55' flat screen TV, game table and wonderful views through the 3 walls of windows.
The second floor bedroom has two twin beds (which can be pushed together to make a king) and a bunk bed, as well as its own Large Balcony (10' x 20') for beautiful mountain views. A full bath is down the hall.
The third sleeping area is a private attic loft with a 'secret' stairway. (Please be aware this is an angled ladder, which is not to code. You take full responsibility if you decide to use it.) It has a full bed, two big skylights and two windows. Kids especially love this room!
PLEASE NOTE that at 8000' it is unusual to have air conditioning. Opening windows at night and closing the house down in the morning does a pretty good job of keeping things cool.
Apologies, but due to Covid-19 we have had to increase our cleaning fee by $20 (to $140) This will be short-term. Thank you for understanding.
Collegiate Peaks Golf Course is privately owned, but open to the public. The greens fees are very reasonable. Pedestrians ARE allowed to walk the course off-golf hours (before 7:00 am and after 8:00 pm.) NO DOGS ANYTIME.
As you enter Chaffee County from Trout Creek Pass and see 14,000'+ Mt. Princeton, Mt. Yale, and Mt. Antero there is a road sign that states, "Now THIS is Colorado!" And so it is. Enjoy!
